Welcome to Authos.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you (or the company you represent, "you") and Authos ("we," "us," or "our"). They govern your access to and use of our identity verification platform, APIs, software, and website (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What We Do

Authos provides a technology platform that helps businesses verify identities by connecting to official government and trusted digital identity sources. You can access our services through our API, SDKs, and web dashboard.

2. Your Responsibilities

When you use our Service, you agree to:

• •Use it only for lawful purposes to verify identities with proper user consent.
• •Provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
• •Keep your login credentials and API keys secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• •Comply with all applicable laws (including Australian data protection regulations) when handling any data received from our Service.
• •Not misuse the Service to discriminate, harass, or violate the rights of others.

3. Accuracy of Government-Sourced Data

Our Service transmits verification requests to official government systems. The "valid" or "invalid" response for an identity check is sourced directly from that government's own authoritative database and is therefore a 100% accurate reflection of that system's records at the moment of the query. Authos does not alter this primary-source response.

4. Intellectual Property

The Authos software, technology, logos, and designs are our property or licensed to us. These Terms give you a limited right to use the Service as intended. You do not own the underlying software or technology.

5. Data & Privacy

• Your Data: You control the data you submit about your end-users for verification. You grant us the limited rights necessary to process that data to provide the Service to you.
• Our Role: We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. For the data you submit, we act as a data processor. You are the data controller and are responsible for having a valid legal reason (like user consent) for the verification.

6. Service Availability & Disclaimers

We work hard to provide a reliable Service. However, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. As stated in Section 3, the accuracy of a government-sourced verification check is dependent on the official government system.

7. Payment Terms (If Applicable)

If your plan has fees:

• •You agree to pay all charges on time.
• •Fees are typically non-refundable.
• •We may suspend service for overdue payments.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Authos will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (like lost profits or data) arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes & Termination

• •We may update these Terms. We will notify you of significant changes. Continued use means you accept the new terms.
• •We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

10. General

• •These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Authos.
• •Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
• •If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest will remain in effect.
